| 描述： | I believe anything we create reveals something about ourselves. This was the most challenging remix I have done to date GON is such an amazing singer, and has been the focus of so many truly fine remixes, that I was incredibly intimidated to have him as my mixee. In addition, the past two weeks have been crazy with tons of dayjob work (including a business trip out of town) and being down with an upper respiratory infection which cut into my remixing time. My initial thought was to do a groovy, electronic, dance track. Of course, I was frustrated because I don't know even where to start with something like that. As I grappled with how to approach this music, my inner voice encouraged me to just approach it like it was one of my songs. I had to face the fact that I am still analogue oriented to a large degree, and discharged my synthesizer dreams in exchange for my bass. As soon as I accepted that this track would sound like something I made, and not like anything else, everything seemed to come together rather easily (Of course, It doesn't hurt that I have Haskel handy to lend his very, very fine guitar stylings) So, I hope this track doesn't reveal too much about my musical limitations, but does reveal my commitment to listening to the inner voice as a guide to inspiration and flow.
